ENDURANCE COACHING - HOW IT WORKS

Programming when it comes to endurance events is highly individual. The vast majority of us have a lot going on in life and have to fit our training in when and where we can. Therefore all endurance coaching programmes will be entirely bespoke and written for you, allowing for your lifestyle and commitments. The best laid plans can and most likely will be compromised at some point by injury, illness or life taking over. My training plans will take all these things into consideration accounting for periods of rest at the appropriate times and pushing hard to get the best out of training.

All programmes are delivered through Training Peaks coaching software and will allow for meaningful analysis and feedback.

1:1 Coaching and Consultations

Service Price Description
Coaching Consultation Prices will vary on location, but the basic cost of a consultation is £40 per hour. For many people the challenge of training efficiently for endurance events is understanding the structure of putting their training sessions together. Whether it is understanding when to increase or decrease the workload, how to taper or how to construct a training week, month or year, a consultation with David will allow you to understand how to piece together your training.
1:1 Technique Sessions Prices will vary on location and session type/facility hire, but the basic cost of a 1:1 session is £40 per hour.

Nutrition Support

Nutrition (£27.20 set up, then £15/month)

We work closely with Gareth Nicholas of Platform Nutrition to ensure our athletes have the best nutritional preparation possible. A nutrition package with Platform Nutrition includes;

Specifically designed for sports performance packages laying the foundations of nutrition with continued support to help you achieve your sporting aspirations. This packaging includes a greater 1:2:1 time and supplement education, to fully support your nutrition programme.

  • Initial Dietary Analysis (3-4 day food diary, goal setting and nutrition theory)
  • Dietary interpretation and tailored nutrition advice
  • 30 day goal orientated meal plan
  • Supplementation planner to support training
  • Periodised meal planner to support training
  • Self-monitoring resource and tools

In the Performance package contact will be by email, phone or skype and face-to-face where possible.

Like with training, your nutrition plan should be tailored depending on the desired attribute, for example, during a strength phase your nutrition will alter versus that of a maintenance phase. We would also need to work alongside any coaches or strength & conditioners that you may have to embed the plan and ensure a consist message.
